He has worked in various organizations, such as a software development company, a research center, a project management agency, an advertising agency, and a higher education institution. Severin worked on multiple web application projects funded by government agencies (state and federal) and international organizations such as the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). His projects include a gang management system for law enforcement, a learning management repository for K-12 schools, and a strategic planning system for educators—leading the design of the user experience (UX) and the development of the user interfaces (UIs). During Severin's time in higher education, he was responsible for managing the delivery of a mentoring portal and events portal to facilitate faculty development.
As a product designer/manager with full-stack development skills, Severin participates in the entire design and development process, from user research through product launch. He works with design teams to conduct user research, gather market information, conduct usability tests, prepare product roadmaps, and develop strategies that increase user satisfaction, adoption, and retention. Severin also leads the development of design systems, user interfaces, and user interactions. During web development projects, he manages the product backlogs and frequently works on front-end development and database design.
